Oils are generally discouraged as they can create buildup in jetting and draining systems. Boca recommends adding salts gradually to ensure that they dissolve properly. If using bubble bath in a jetted tub, do so sparingly as the jets are powerful and will maximize the creation of bubbles. If you are concerned about using a product please give us a call.

  • Is there a limit to how long my bath can be?

Boca Walk-In Tub users should feel free to spend as much or as little time as they like in each bath. Some options like the air and whirlpool jets will shut off after 20 minutes, but they can be restarted with the push of a button. Your heated seat and back will stay on for 30 minutes.

  • Can I install a curtain over the tub?

For tub users who install the rainfall showerhead and frequently shower while standing, a curtain adds privacy and can prevent splashing outside of the tub. Curtains can be installed in any manner desired. Boca recommends that the plastic portion of the curtain extend 5-6 inches below the top of the tub for maximum protection from spillage.

  • Will certain conditions or medications affect my ability to use the tub?

If you have any concerns, please consult your primary care provider. Boca can provide any information needed for your doctor to give further advice. We have multiple safety features that are quite useful for people with different medical conditions.

  • Is my water heater large enough for a tub?

Depending on the model of tub selected, Boca recommends either a 40- or 80-gallon water heater. The webpage describing your tub model has the appropriate recommendation for a water heater capacity.

  • What are the best methods for cleaning my Boca Walk-In Tub?

We recommend using non-abrasive cleaning supplies to clean the surfaces of the tub.

  • How do I clean the jets on my new tub?

For cleaning the jets on the tub fill your tub with water and add bleach, white vinegar or a spa cleaning solution and turn on the jets to let the cleaner cycle through.

  • How long does it take to fill my Boca Walk-In tub.

The time can vary depending on water pressure and other factors but our tubs generally fill at a rate of about 18 gallons per minute and drain in the industry standard time.

  • Is my handheld wand leaking?

Each Boca tub is equipped with a handheld wand that can be used for sitting showers or to assist those with limited mobility. The wands are equipped with a 'pause' button and - when activated - can give the appearance of a leak or low water pressure. If you suspect a leak from the handheld wand, be sure that the pause button is not activated.
